For Derek is extremely abrasive with its crushing mix and distorted .. well, everything. It's MySpace Nintendocore baybee! There are synth interludes (I especially dig the closing track) to provide a breather, which is a good call. There are nasty breakdowns and harsh, sometimes sassy vocals.
